25 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

I have noticed a very popular trend roaming around the social media world, as well as the the magazine world. I first noticed this in US Weekly, which I sadly yet proudly admit that I get every week sent straight to my iPad. (I just have to keep up with my celebrity friends. Obviously).

When I first saw this, I was hooked. It’s now my favorite thing to see whenever my subscription is available. So I figured, why not let the whole world know 25 things you all obviously care to know about me.

*********************************************************************************************

1. I have an obsession with cereal, sushi and salmon. Just don’t mix them all together, please.

2. I have a DEEP hatred (yes, I am aware that is a harsh word) for Taylor Swift. Everything about her makes me cringe.

3. I’m a huge fan of the word “literally.”

4. I’m the definition of the term, “reality show junkie.”

5. I graduated with my BA in Communications-Public Relations with a minor in Marketing.

6. I love deep sea fishing. The longest trip I’ve gone on so far is a 12 hour overnight trip (10PM-10AM). My next goal is a 24 hour trip & then a 56 hour trip.

7. I have 2 favorite types of cake: cookie cakes and funfetti.

8. My lucky number is 13. However, anytime I use 13 to win something, I lose. I still refuse to come to copes with the fact that clearly I picked the wrong number.

9. I have seen every episode of Friends a minimum of 50 times each. And yet I still cry like a baby on the “we were on a break” episode.

10. I sleep like a dead person & I can be a little grumpy in the morning.

11. I tend to name random objects. i.e. My car: Justin (as in Timberlake), my boyfriend’s car: Henry, my cell phone: Walter.

12. I have a fear of deer and clowns.

13. My idea of a perfect date is getting a bunch of junk food and having a movie night in with my boyfriend.

14. My favorite color is a black. It is also the primary color of my wardrobe.

15. I cry for everything. Literally everything. Ask my boyfriend. He knows the exact moment anything good or bad, happy or sad will make me tear up.

16. My favorite kind of music is 90s Adult Alternative.

17. I love to sing at the top of my lungs even though I know that I am tone deaf beyond belief.

18. I manage to over think everything.

19. I either slip down or trip up the stairs at my house at least once a week.

20. My favorite thing about my boyfriend Erik is his sense of humor and the way he can make me laugh.

21. I had a fear of roller coasters until I was 14. Now I love them!

22. I have absolutely zero sense of direction. Especially in a city that I have lived in for 24 years.

23. You will never see me wearing white socks.

24. I used to want to be a Forensic Toxicologist.

25. In all honesty, I hate having to answer the question, “tell me about yourself.”

My Pinterest Addiction Has Paid Off

My Pinterest addiction began in full force. There was no building up to it, there was no hesitation. I got so addicted, I was ready for rehab. Unfortunately, I was one of those “Pinners” who just pinned my wishful dreams and wants. I never made a recipe. I never bought that outfit. I never DIY’d anything.

Once I decided that I wanted to get back into shape, it never really hit me that I had an entire board dedicated to the goals I had in mind. A few days ago, while I was just pinning away it snapped to me that this board was full of ideas and helpful tips. This board has been my main concentration since then and I have never felt so motivated and inspired!

I have found numerous workout routines, healthy eating tips and motivational stories to get me going right! What I love about Pinterest, is that there is practically hundreds of new ideas every single day! Which I personally like, because that means that I will never have a boring routine!

I highly recommend Pinterest to anyone looking for that sort of motivation. It doesn’t necessarily have to be fitness motivation either. Check it out today! I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Here is my THINspiration board on my personal Pinterest. I will be adding to this board daily! http://pinterest.com/brandy_davis13/thinspiration/

The Year of 24: The Year of Weight Loss!

When I began this blog, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do with it. I knew that I wanted to develop something exciting, because I have always loved the concept of blogging, I just have never committed myself to becoming a “blogger.” How hip do I sound? Did I want to ramble on and on about my fascinating life? Did I want to document my career journey? Did I want to post millions of pictures of Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling?

And then it hit me.

I am turning 24 in exactly 15 days. I have never been the type of person to come up with New Years Resolutions because frankly, I never keep them. But with me turning another year older… uh I mean, wiser, I want to have not only a plan in place, but I want to have a goal. I have always been a very confident person. I am great with people, and I am a very motivated person. But one thing that has been going a little downhill, actually, really downhill is my confidence with my appearance.

I have been wanting to get my confidence back for quite some time. I have had the motivation in my head, but for some reason I have not been able to get that motivation officially started. Well, all of that procrastination is coming to an END!

My boyfriend recently began working out again, and just hearing him go on and on about how much he’s getting accomplished is starting to be my biggest motivation. I mean really, who wants to be the fat part of the relationship? I’m just joking by the way. He has always supported me 100% and has always been my biggest fan. Just like I have been for him. Having him by my side is just going to make this entire process so much easier. I do think since it is the beginning of a new year, and my birthday just days away, there’s no better time then the present to get started.

Once upon a time I was a member of the gym and I quickly fell off of the map and stopped going. So luckily the gym scene is no stranger to me. It is going to be a little difficult getting back in the ring considering I haven’t worked out in about 1,000 years and I am currently dealing with a broken finger, but I know that there is always a starting point and I need to stop coming up with excuses.

So I welcome you all to come aboard and join me on my voyage to get my body confidence back! It is going to be an interesting journey, but I am excited for the finishing result.

This blog is not only going to consist of my random ramblings about my journey, exercises I’m enjoying, healthy foods I’m loving, but also any other miscellaneous topics that might come up along the way.
